Californians for Population Stabilization

Californians for Population Stabilization (CAPS)

According to their website, Californians for Population Stabilization is a group that works to create and advance policies geared towards stabilizing the population of California and the rest of the United States. They describe California as one of the greatest places to live in the world so they “understand why so many people want to live [there]”. However, California’s population has doubled in the last forty years and continues to grow at an unsustainable rate. This is why CAPS exists, to combat the economic and environmental challenges brought on by exponential population growth. It is very important to note that CAPS is a “pro-immigrant” organization. They blame the government’s policies for the problems they face.

How Do We Know CAPS Passes the Test?

When we look at their financial reports we see that Californians for Population Stabilization spent 72.5% of revenue on programs to educate the public and advance policies to aid population stabilization. They spent 13.8% of funds on administrative costs(very normal) and 13.6% on fundraising.
